The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of characters who will separate from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team includes Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might appear unsuited, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The traitor then paid off his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the city, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their position as important members in the powerful family could help the party reach areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
Future Episodes
From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Questers and Planners groups.
